The VivAer® procedure uses low-temperature radiofrequency to gently remodel or reshape the nasal valves to open your nasal airways. Nasal airway obstruction is a condition where your nasal passages are blocked, resulting in a meager amount of air passing through your nose. This condition can negatively impact your quality of life
While home remedies like nasal dilators and breathing strips may offer effective temporary solutions, they cannot cure your symptoms. VivAer® is a brief and non-invasive procedure to provide lasting relief to your condition. It can be performed in the office and will not alter the outward appearance of your nose.
There's no cutting or incisions involved in this procedure, and you'll recover pretty quickly afterward. Most patients will be able to breathe easier soon after the
treatment.
If you have further queries about the VivAer® procedure, feel free to ask Dr. Davis.
If you have trouble breathing through your nose, experience nasal congestion or stuffiness, or are winded very easily during workouts, you might have nasal airway obstruction. The Latera® Implant can help provide long-lasting relief from your symptoms.
Latera® is an absorbable nasal implant designed to support the upper and lower cartilages of your nasal wall. Supporting the cartilages can open your nasal valves, reduce symptoms of nasal obstruction, and make breathing easier.
Side effects are rare with this procedure, but may include temporary bruising, mild inflammation, and irritation.

Turbinates are small tube-like structures inside your nose that warm and humidify air passing through your nostrils. Sometimes, they grow swollen and inflamed due to allergic reactions or infections. This causes the mucous membrane surrounding the turbinates to produce excess mucus, leading to nasal congestion.
Turbinate surgery, or inferior turbinate reduction, is a surgical procedure where the nasal turbinates are gently reduced in size to remove any obstructions to airflow. During the surgery, a needle-like instrument is inserted into your nostrils to remove the excess tissue inside your inferior turbinate.
This is procedure can be done in the office or in the operating room. Recovery is fairly quick. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Davis to discuss how turbinate surgery can benefit you.
The wall of cartilage and bone that divides your nose into two nostrils is called the septum. In some cases, the septum might be crooked or deviated. However, if a septum has severely deviated, it can block one side of your nostrils and reduce airflow, leading to breathing difficulties.
Septoplasty is the surgical procedure performed to straighten a deviated septum. During the procedure, your surgeon may have to cut or remove specific parts of your septum to properly reposition them.
Depending on the complexity of your condition, a septoplasty takes between 30 to 60 minutes to complete. During the procedure, patients are put under general anesthesia, and a surgeon makes an incision on your nose to access your septum. They lift the mucous membrane and guide your septum into the right position. There are no incisions on the outside of the face, there is no bruising, and this surgery does not change the outside appearance of the nose.
Septoplasty requires some pre-surgery preparations and aftercare precautions that you’ll need to follow. Talk to Dr. Davis to learn more about septoplasty and how it could be beneficial for you.
Dr. Davis treats all his patients with the utmost care, respect, and kindness.
